The program

What is HIGGS Incubator?

Do you have an innovative idea with social and/or environmental impact in Greece that is looking for strategic support and guidance? Look no further! HIGGS offers a transformative Incubator Program, tailored to empower positive social and environmental impact initiatives across the country.

Our Incubator is an opportunity for you and your organization to build skills, access tools, and grow your base of supporters to become more effective and viable. Once you get accepted to our program, you have access to all the tools, training, and one-on-one support available for the Incubator community.

Whether you are starting a non-profit organisation or developing an initiative with a revenue stream business model and a social purpose, the Incubator offers you the tools to design and implement your strategy with a meaningful impact.

How it works

At HIGGS, we are committed to propelling your non-profit organization towards greater success and impact.

Incubator is an online 12 months training program for (up to) 6 organizations, that will help you get started and commence your operation. Following a 4 * 2 days intensive Bootcamp, each semester will focus in a different knowledge area. During the first semester you will learn how to create or review your business plan and in the second semester you will develop the fundraising and marketing plan of your organization. Once you graduate, you will have a ready to use strategy plan for the next 3-5 years and a ready fundraising and marketing plan. We also provide networking opportunities and a badge of successful attendance «Incubated by HIGGS».

Now, with a new opportunity for initiatives with an entrepreneurial approach!

From the new cycle, the Incubator expands to include initiatives that:

  • The aim is not profit, but sustainability and independence of the initiative through social entrepreneurship practices.
  • wish to strengthen their governance based on the principles of the steward-led model, in collaboration with the Stewards Greece team. This is an innovative model of governance and ownership, in which responsibility for the organisation remains with individuals acting as custodians of its mission, rather than with shareholders or owners.

This new capability reinforces the core mission of the programme without changing its identity: the Incubator remains the programme that empowers social and environmental initiatives with tools, strategy and connectivity, while paving the way for more resilient and sustainable economic models.
