Project "Non-profits & Media advocating for good!"
The project "Non-profits & Media advocating for good!" aims to strengthen the advocacy and supervisory role of Civil Society in Greece. To achieve this, it offers a structured framework of experiential education and collaboration, which will benefit representatives from 32 mass media and executives from 32 non-profit organizations in 4 cities in Greece, selected on the basis of having a vibrant OSH community. and media as well as important social problems, in order to co-plan and implement advocacy actions together.
The project "Non-profits & Media advocating for good!" is implemented within the framework of the Active citizens fund program, with the implementation body HIGGS and its partners, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Open Knowledge Foundation of Greece and the AMKE Initiative for Journalism.
The Active citizens fund program, amounting to €13.5 million, is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and is part of the financial mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA) for the period 2014 - 2021, known as EEA Grants. The program aims to strengthen and strengthen the sustainability of civil society and to highlight its role in promoting democratic processes, strengthening citizens' participation in society and defending human rights. The management of the grant of the Active citizens fund program for Greece has been jointly undertaken by the Bodosaki Foundation and SolidarityNow.
